Show Restore/Apply Brush Masks

Is there a quick way of seeing where you've painted with the restore and apply brush? This would be extremely useful especially when working with subtle effects.

Not if you are in the gallery. If you want more control, use "apply effect to area", then you will have a set of buttons under "Display Selection As" with different options for displaying the selection.
