Will adding Metadata be in the near future for both Smart Photo and Portraits?

I assume you're talking about exif data?

Currently most exif tags are passed through (i.e. if it's in the original file, it will be in the saved out file). There are a few exceptions, like makernote which breaks the exif specification.

We don't have any current plans for allowing the user to add more exif data, although if there was a demand for it, we would do.
