King at the Great Central Railway

Postby pothole » Fri Feb 01, 2013 4:27 pm

I have just started to use this software, I mainly wanted it to just enhance my steam train photographs as in the wrong light they can look quiet drab.

It was a gala weekend down the great central railway and every good photographic location was soon filling up, I got the best spot I could as the King Edward 2 was making a guest appearance and everyone wanted the shot.

As you can see from the before shot my location was not good but I thought with a little Photoshop my pics would improve until I discovered this software which saved me a lot of tweaking in Photoshop.

So I submit my photograph before and after of King Edward hope you like.

Hi pothole,

I hadn't known about the train King Edward II until your post. After spending some time doing some research (thru Google) about it's history, I think your SPE post was the best picture of this much admired restored train. I like how the colors came alive and especially the train smoke. Nice job of getting rid of the tree branches. Will make a nice train portrait to display. Very nice!
