Would be great to have a list of effects including author's name, what effect it is found under, and page #.
So many times I want to go back to a particular effect and forget where it is.
Is there something like that now that I haven't seen yet?

If you want to go back to an effect that you've used before, look at the 'Favorites' button. Hovering over it gives you a list of your recently used effects and you can move your favorite effects into the favorites list so they stay there forever. The effects are being constantly added to by our users and sorted by popularity so they don't have a fixed page number.
