Replacing a Sky

Postby Phelon » Wed Apr 10, 2013 4:44 am

Hi, The sky was replaced in this photo with no problem tonight. The other day, on this same photo, all I could get out of the railings and antennas on the building top was what looked like frosted (white) wires, etc. Even had a problem with the tree on the right. So I sent my results to Tony, via Dropbox. But now he doesn't need to be concerned. Even though I've spent many hours fixing many photos with SPE, I guess I goofed up in my handling this fine detail--and I thought I was doing OK.

Anyway, tonight's result shows that SPE is a darn good program, and that practice makes perfect. I'm pretty happy with it as a final picture. Thanks Tony!

PS You'll notice I have some chromatic aberration in the upper left of my picture (the lamp post and chimneys on left-top of building). The CA matched the sunset. :D
PSS The building is in Paris.
