Could we add a texture to a font ?

I'd really like to add a textured colour (various textures including gradient) to fonts, instead of a plain colour. Any way this is already possible? If not, could it become possible please? Also, talking of gradient - that would be a great addition to the colour gallery for colouring anything.

Hi Shahw1,

You could do this in the effect editor (by writing white text on a black background, then turning into a selection, which could be used to do anything with). However there's no easier way than that I'm afraid.
