Computer Crashing during Montage

I am working on a photo montage and after I uploaded all the pictures and go to add text my computer shuts downs. I even saved it as a session and reopened it but it keeps doing the same thing. I am using Windows 7 64 bit. Please let me know what can I do because even though I love this program it is of no use if I can't finish my work!.....Thanks
