Favorites and Shortcuts

My shortcuts do not always show up. Is there a limit? When I check the list on the right side, new ones are not showing up.
When I click on the button on the left side, only the new ones (that do not show up on the right) show up. I am quite confused.

Hi SarahT,

I'm not sure I understand which part of the software you're referring to. Are you talking about the Favorite and Recently applied effects? There is a limit on how many of your recent effects are shown, but when you move a recent effect into your favorites, there's no limit to how many are shown.

If there are too many favorites to be shown easily at once, a scrollbar appears for you to see the rest.

Here I go again, another question. I want to delete all the effects that are showing up on the list on the right of the favorites panel that opens when you select Favorites Recent Shortlists, there are too many and I don't want them. New ones I want are not showing up so I can put them in my favorites list on the left hand side of the pane. When I shortlist them only that one ever shows up in the window that pops open at the top of the picture, therefore no scrolling through to view them. So now I have to click each one separately in the long list on the right to view them.

What am I doing wrong? Tried to figure out from other posts but just not getting it.

Hi,

Have you found the Favorite Effects Manager? You get to it by clicking on a button labled "<" or "Manage Effects". You can use that to delete effects from your favorites, but currently not the recent list. If you want to put effects directly into your favorites list (which you can keep nice and short by deleting the ones you don't want), then go into the settings panel and make sure "Show ratings" is ticked. Then in the gallery you'll have star ratings. The highest star rating puts that effect straight into your favorites list (bypassing the recent list).
