Hi,

Have you recently upgraded to Maverics by any chance? We've found a few bugs in the Area Treatment tool that have appeared on Maverics, which we are looking into. If not, could you tell me where it's crashing?

If it's recently started crashing on saving, it's also possible you're running out of memory. Are you using very large images with complex effects? We are currently working on a 64 bit version of SPE, which should improve memory issues.

I get the same "crash on save" problem also. I'm working on large merged panoramas (3x1 format). When the pixels are greater than about 10000 wide SPE often crashes on Save - usually when 3 or more effects applied. I figured it is a memory problem. Tried closing all other programs, but not much difference. One thing that seems to help is to save as TIF with Lossless Compression rather than Uncompressed.

Any other suggestions?

Won't 64 bit create files that are ridiculously large - or do I misunderstand 64 bit?

The program running in 64 bits as opposed to 32 bits will have no bearing on file size!
I would suggest having a 64 bit machine, running the 64 bit program with at least 8gb RAM.

What DBenterprises says is completely true. You can get the 64 bit version by checking for updates, but if that doesn't help (it should) I'm afraid more RAM is possibly needed.

Help, spent ages editing photo and cant save as JPEG, as reported here it keeps crashing on save. I can save as session though nothing else after adding effects.

I don't have any probs with effects / crashes in Photo Shop would love for this program to run smoothly,

Is there any suggestions ??

Hi Dave,

First make sure you've got the 64 bit version of the software. If you have and it still crashes, could you open a support ticket and our support team will try and reproduce your problem for me to fix.
