Cannot publish effect because of non-trivial path?
I have the effect exactly the way I want it when I look at the Effect Output but when I hover over publish it says... "There is a non-trivial path from effect input to effect output." What do I need to do to publish the effect? Thanks.
Re: Cannot publish effect because of non-trivial path?
Did you connect the last node to the effect-output node?
Sometimes I do forget such connection, especially when connecting, dragging, re-connecting and such, in that case you're not able to upload the effect which is correct, otherwise it won't work

Press the publish button! "There is a non-trivial path from effect input to effect output." means that the effect is good and ready to go. I think we can probably come up with a clearer way of saying that though! Sorry for the confusion.

Re: Cannot publish effect because of non-trivial path?
Sorry this took me so long to answer... it's been a hectic week...
I get all the questions answered, and try to share, but there isn't an error, but just doesn't save..... and it's probably a good thing I remembered what I did, which was use depth, hue, tone/gradient (and both, did this 3 times ), but no save.
I was looking to get rid of the saturated blue (and was going to work on red, too), but I kinda gave up after being in the program all day.
This is truly the first program I found where I can manipulate those LED saturation colours that has driven us concert photogs nuts since they became the go to for stage lighting.
So, to answer your question: No error. Just not saving.
I am having to run the 32bit version... looking to upgrade comp to 64bit, but not in the cards just yet. Hope that helps.
This was all blue. I futzed a bit and got this. Couldn't save how I did it.....

Hi,
Just to make sure we're both talking about the same thing:
You're trying to save an effect (not just a picture), by publishing it from the effect editor?
Perhaps you could post a screenshot of the effect editor with your effect in it, just so I can see what you're trying to do?
Kind regards
Tony

Re: Cannot publish effect because of non-trivial path?
Yes... I managed to make an effect to rid the blue saturation completely.
Let me get back into it and ply about with it again. I wasn't well past 2 days (food poisoning). When I get it the way I want again will post path for you.....
