Transferring finished image to lightroom?

How would I transfer a finished image that had been processed in photo editor to lightroom?

Just save it as a jpg/tiff or png and lightroom will be able to load it. I'm not that familiar with lightroom, but I think you need to point it at a directory that your saved picture is in.

I always do it the other way around. Lightroom>"Edit In">SPE or LR>Export>SPE. This way, if you are using as intended, everything is kept in order. If you use SPE first>save>LR>Synch the folder. That will put it into the LR catalog.

For Dbenterprises a ? on saving pictures edited in SPE. The following are procedures I use : select the picture(in LR), then click on picture and choose edit in, select smart photo editor.(its set up in the external editing preferences) Then after processing image in SPE click save(check off edit in tiff or jpeg) etc. SPE then renders image and after this I thought the image is automatically transferred to the lr(5) catalogue to the folder where the image came from. But it does not do it in mine. What is the sync bit to get the image into the lr catalogue? How is this done? From an SPE stupie. Thanks for your help!!

The folder where the image resides (the tiff that was created when you "edit in", in LR, go to Library mode, left hand side), rt. click that folder and choose synchronize folder. (I'm assuming you have saved the SPE image in the same folder as the original or at least have the folder that the image is in, already in the LR catalog). Another way of having it show up is when you "save as" the image from SPE, if you save to the same folder and name it the same as that original tiff, you can overwrite that tiff and it should be there next to the original RAW (DNG) file.

dbenterprises, your the man. Synchronizing the given folder did the trick to transfer the processed photo in spe to the lr catalogue. Thanks for your help!! It was frustrating the Hell out of me!! Have a Good Night!!

dbenterprises perhaps you can help me again as I no longer can synch the chosen folder to import the spe edited image to the lightroom folder. The synching feature will not work. What"s happened?

I don't understand that. If that folder is in your catalog and you made any changes to it outside of LR, (files inside that folder), you should be able to synch it. Are you sure it's the same folder, residing in the same place?
