Thought It Would Be Nice...
Thought it would be nice to show some of my effects and some possible uses that I envisaged. Many of my effects seem quite extreme and maybe a bit overpowering. But if you use them on more graphical images then perhaps they start to come into their own. So to this end I made the following simple artwork image (the original) in Photoshop Elements 11. Started with a new blank 2400 x 1800 pixels, flood filled it with the selected color. Then I used 'female figure' brushes that I created from stock images used under commercial license (Source: http://www.3d.sk) to create the base image from which to apply some of my effects. The name under each image tells you which of my effects that I used. All applied effects were single ones - no combination effects in this series. Each was almost applied at 'one click' save for a little adjustment to hue and exposure. On one or two I applied 'Clarity' from within the 'Image Treatment' feature, but not much else was done. I think this little series shows the possibilities that exist when my effects are applied to minimalist images, especially ones with block color. I would be interested to hear your comments and whether or not you found this discussion useful.
