What do you think?
Created completely with SPE without the use an actual photo.
Effects used: Stage light calypso blue 1, calypso blue 2, calypso purple 2, Stage light smoke effect 02, Startburst, Ab silhouette figures neon 01 purple 006 (this is a derivate from Ab silhouette figures 006, not yet uploaded), Mirror water ripples multiply, Accentuate lighting.
Lots of tweaks, no masks.

Had a lot of fun creating this, I'm afraid it's not the last one
Cheers,
Arwin

Re: Walker
Great Stuff Art'win (sic),
Shows what can be done from within SPE - I'm sure you'll make many more of this type of ARTWORK - looked as if you had lots of FUN!
Not now, but maybe later I'll give it a bash myself and see what comes of it.
Many users love SPE for enhancing photographs and maybe shy clear of the more creative effects that exist - and that is fair enough! But for me, it is the ARTISTIC possibilities that intrigue me most - some of my effects appear at first sight to have use at all - but when someone taps into their artistic potential - then the outcomes can be FANTASTIC. You have shown here that it is possible without an original image to create a work of ART from within SPE without accessing painting or drawing tools. Well done for another FASCINATING insight into the power of Smart Photo Editor - I love it!
Have a great weekend my friend,
Cheers,
Andrew

Re: Walker
Thank you Andrew, much appreciated
As you said earlier in an another topic about the current effect creations "We are moving in a new direction at the moment, probably started by your innovative stage lighting effects."
I really want to add to this, the new dimension you created with your "Ab silhouette figures", I think this effect is the first effecttype that gives the possibility to create images as you see here, meaning that we can use almost any effect (or combine) as background, but your silhouette effects (including your "Tree silhouettes series one") gives us an object to composite an image with, I think that's really new to SPE!
I really enjoying your silhouettes series and as you know I'm working on some effects atm that directly derived from your silhouette effects. The basis is ready now, I just want some presets to easily apply an effect, this takes some time to be ready with
I'll add 5 types of effect build upon your silhouettes series; Outline, Neon 1, Neon 2, Backlight and Pipe frame effect, beside I used your silhouette effects they will also come as Text and Selection effect.
Again thank you for your kind words Andrew and to all the contributions you do to SPE!
Cheers and have a good easter weekend!

Re: Walker
Thanks too for your kind words - I'm really looking forward to what you come up with - your teaser image looks like your effects are once again going to be FANTASTIC.
I hope in the near future to add many more silhouette effects - but they do take a long time to make as I photograph people in all sorts of everyday poses, but generally from a long distance and in amongst shops, cars and such distractions. Sometimes it is very difficult to make distinct selections as the figures often merge into the background - for example, they might have yellow jacket which is the same color (almost) as the car they are standing in front of. So most of the silhouettes rquire artwork to complete. Just out of interest once I've created the silhouette on a white background, I apply a a little Gaussian Blur, then I apply a one of my Threshold effects - this tends to smooth the edges and take away raggedness. I often work on quite a small size before resizing upward for SPE. I've been doing this kind of thing for creating Photoshop Brushes but I just realised that we could use a 'Place & Merge' node to allow the same silhouettes to be used in SPE.
It is great to see you taking these effects to new places and in new directions - ALL VERY EXCITING really!
I have many more ideas for different types of silhouette effects - but it may take a while before they appear.
Kind regards,
Andrew
