A Roman Peacock That Loves Art
Hi Everyone,
I'm still recovering from my Spinal Stenosis and longing to get back with everyone. This is a travel picture taken in Rome where there are many artists displaying their work. I thought this was special, especially after putting it through my computer--love that bird--wonder if he really cares....... I replaced the sky, used straightening tool, took out noise, enhanced color and light sharpening. I use PS to Resize and work with layers to make some adjustments, but generally use SPE--a lovely program without spending a fortune and easy to learn--there are a lot of tools to use and understand--I appreciate the community efforts to show their talents. I always have a great time here.

Hi Phelon,
Good to see you back here
It was one of your wonderful images, captured from out of a riding bus, processed in SPE, I did my first comments on after discovering SPE Hope you will recover soon from your spinal stenosis!
Nice scenery of art and well captured
Kind regards,
Arwin

Hi Arwin,
It's good to talk to you, too! Yes, that picture you describe was while touring in Berlin. It showed that one can achieve nice results taken from a bus--at that moment we weren't moving--that happened several times due to traffic and on purpose.. Thanks for remembering that one; I'll call it back up front in the forum here.
This picture looks natural to me; so natural, in fact, that I feel I need to put up the original to show that I made a composite by adding the peacock. This way will show that it really wasn't so easy to come up with my final picture. When you get or see something in your head that you think would make the picture look nicer, then work to achieve that. The bird shadow was special, too--kept with the time of day.
I can't drive yet; have been 17-18 weeks with this condition, and now taking 50% less pain pills which allows me to concentrate on the computer. I would fall asleep and it was taking so long to do anything.
To all of you friends, I appreciate your development of new effects and to see your pictures. A great community here.
So, here's the original from Rome.

Good to see you're doing better and more free to let the creativity flow again! I know out of first hand, pain is the worst thing to have, glad there are pills when you need them!
Good to see the original image too, actualy didn't notice you added the bird yourself, so well done!
Wish you a lot of health!

Hi Phelon,
The Roman photo is superb. Somewhat nostalgic for me. I lived in Italy for several years and this brought back so many fond memories. This photo seemed to capture one of my favorite street scenes.
I hope you are doing Ok and the medical procedure is making your life better.
When you are feeling up to it, maybe we can get together and have another cup of coffee. I enjoyed our coffee time the last time.

Hi Wess,
Getting together again is something I will look forward to doing; you're special to me, Wess. My wife is from Germany and we have enjoyed visiting her friends and traveling through several European countries. I hope I recover enough to do all the walking and luggage carrying that the traveling takes, but it's an iffy.
Drop me a note anytime to get together.
Phelon
PS Thanks for your nice comment!
