This is lovely. However, I'd love to see the original because that must be a great photo in itself.

Hi Sam,

Do you mind if I download here one or two of my interpretations of your 139 kb image from a Burt Lancaster film?

Hi Sam, the image here is only 139 kb, so very small to have enough metadata to make good or better picture. I thought I would try to give it my best for today, so here's what I have to present. Obviously, I replaced the sky, and that gave way for an immediate improvement. I also selected an area to the right that was too light to match the rest, so I painted the area (masked) with red and used the sliders to tone down the brightness and even out the color. Then, since you were on the look for a painted look, I gave the background a texture to show relief of a course canvas. After framing, I would add some text (please do), and develop a signature of your own and save adding to future works. (learn on SPE how to do all these things). Hope I've been some help.

I did one more enhancing, and I like it best. Anyway, it's a different approach to finalizing an image.

This is a very nostalgic and well done work of art. Great application of the effect.
