Effects Editor

Postby Eriskay » Sun May 25, 2014 11:53 pm

Will someone be kind enough to assist me with
the Effects Editor. I don't know how to use it.
I've tried following the directions but it doesn't
work. I cannot publish anything.

Thank you

Hi Eriskay,

Firstly, have you looked at the videos here?

Secondly, when it refuses to publish an effect, it should tell you why. What reason does it give?

:D Thank you, Tony!

After I open a pic, I click on Effects Editor

Then I click on gradient and take that to the pic.

I add another pic then click on load image and click on scale

then effect input, effect output then publish.

A message always comes up:

You cannot publish your effect yet.
The effect does not change the input.

I realize I don't know what steps I should be taking until I get what I want.

I love Smart Photo Editor and this is one area that I haven't used for lack of knowlege.

Slainte!

If the effect doesn't change the input, it sounds like you haven't connected any of the nodes you dragged in. You connect nodes by dragging from the output semi circle on the right of a node to an input semicircle on the left of a node. You need to connect a path that goes from the input node to the output node. When you have done that then the output will look different from the input, only when that happens that you can publish (if it doesn't do anything it's not worth sharing!). I suggest if you've not already done so, you watch all the videos to get a better idea.

Thank you, Tony for your assistance!

I will do as you say, and also watch the videos.
It will happen, if I try enough times.
