Back again

Postby Arwin » Mon Sep 29, 2014 6:37 pm

Hello all! Guess who's back in town!? :D

Sorry for my absence last months, just had to much to think about and to do's..
At the moment I'm in calm waters again, moved out to a new home, fixed my computer which was broken at transport :o (Motherboard and video card, luckily nothing wrong with the harddrives )

I've peeked from time to time at the SPE Forum, but never managed to reply. I've seen alot of new names and effect creators which is great for the community and of course for SPE!

Still love to work with SPE and started to work on some effects I had left alone a few months ago, they are even uploaded already!

Congratulations on your Blog Andrew! Good to see you're still rock at this place, hope you're still doing well!
Your Blog looks awesome and I can imagine it is very useful for any user of SPE, good to see your tutorials and effects explanations all at one place!

I've created some new effects with the use of your 'Ab silhouette figures' which I will explain a bit more later in a separate article, they can even be used on your new 'Speech bubble shapes' effects or any other black and white silhouette figures to give them a nice neon glow for example.

The text can be changed in any word/sentence and style you like by using the Texttool of SPE, I will explain later.

It's good to be back! :D

Welcome back Arwin - missed you my dear friend, but suspected that you were very busy at work, but you were truly missed. Hope you settle quickly to your new home - enjoy! Computers are OK when they're working, but can be a bit of a pain when things go wrong. I've been held up producing videos as I had a 'Runtime' error that kept popping up when rendering my videos. Tried all sorts of things, thought I had got it sorted, then it started all over again. I have changed my screen capture program and am hopeful of better results, but time will tell. However, duty has required me to step back a bit of late as my two daughters are expecting babies - one early October and the other Late December. This will make a total of five grandchildren by the end of the year. Being a grandparent is a bit like a full-time job sometimes, but for now we are on call as we await the new arrivals (or bundles of joy). I have been altering our garden to accommodate the expanded family, not too easy as you know I have a spinal condition that limits my ability to bend.

Thanks for your kind comments and great to see the new effects that you have been working on, look forward to exploring these in due course.

I've just uploaded a new series called 'Multi colored overlays' 001-080 and am working on a new series of watercolor effects that I hope to upload soon. Should have more tutorials for my blog - out in October (all going well)

Take care my friend and kindest regards!

Andrew

Thank you Andrew, very kind of you (as always ;))
I'm indeed settling down here and feels good! :D You're completely right about the computer part  Hope your runtime error experiences are soon over, it can be very demotivating when things are not working as you expected..

Your two daughters are expecting babies! Wow, that will consume some of your time for sure, but I guess with no problem at all! :D I wish you a wondeful time with your grandchildren and family and take care of your spinal conditions, I know how it feels as I do have my own for years.

Take care and kindest regards to you too my friend!

Cheers,
Arwin
