Motif On Texture

Postby andrewb2012 » Fri Nov 21, 2014 6:34 pm

Here I played with one of my original motifs and used a variety of different textures from within Smart Photo Editor - the motif was created in Photoshop Elements 11. First image is the one that was processed in SPE. The large white border was applied in SPE and the shadow border was applied in Photoscape.

Hi Arwin,

Endless possibilities indeed - I love the variations that can be created. Interestingly, the little plant stem was picked from my garden a few hours before making the motif. I photographed it and then converted it to B&W and refined using it gaussian blur and then a threshold tool to smooth the edges a bit before making a Photoshop brush. Once in brush form I played with it lots and created a number of other brushes using distortion and mirror techniques. So not only are there endless possibilities in creating artworks from within SPE, but also at the root level when creating your own motifs. All very exciting - I simply love playing with digital manipulated graphics.

Thanks for your kind comments - glad you find the images inspiring - that is why I post them.

Keep well and enthusiastic!

Andrew
