LOCAL VARIANCE

Local Variance shows how much change there is around a pixel. Dark areas indicate that an area is flat, while colours get brighter around edges and texture. Radius indicates how far away to look for the change. Increasing the quality will slow the node down.

I just discovered a recent effect that contains this node (Chalk Outlining by SlichoArt) and was interested in the description of the node, only to find there is none. Can you add a description?
