Having looked at your starting image, it has a color profile set in a non-standard way to sRGB and this is being ignored by SmartPhotoEditor. One solution is to load this into photoshop and save it again, and the color profile is then stored normally and works with SmartPhotoEditor.

Where did the jpeg come from?

Hi Gary, Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I completely missed the second page with your question. The original picture was taken by us with a Nikon digital camera. Model # D3200.

We have fixed this problem now and will be releasing a free update to the SmartPhotoEditor that will handle these non-standard sRGB profiles. The release will be in a few days as long as the software passes our QA processes. This will also include updated RAW handling support for the newer cameras.
