Can't upload an image
Hi all,
Can't seem to upload an image. Done this many times so can't be finger trouble. Tried a number and none will upload. I get an 'invalid image' message. They have been standard jpegs at around 990kb in size. Anyone any ideas?
I just tried to upload a screenshot of the error message (a 100kb jpg) and that also failed!

Re: Can't upload an image
OK, I can see it. Let's see if the screenshot of the error message uploads...
Nope. Mmmm, tried rebooting my system to no avail. What on earth can be the issue? I have art to display
Here's the error message I get from the forum.... https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/955 ... essage.jpg
Could someone try and upload in this chain? If it works then that eliminates something 'wrong' with jpegs on my system.

Here is your error message Richard:
So I think there is something other fancy going on at your side, not a clue but very curious about your art!
Cheers,
Arwin

Hi Arwin,
Well I use the term 'art' loosely. Meanwhile I have a more fundamental problem which obviously relates to my Windows 7 platform. Watch this space (but don't hold your breath)!

Re: Can't upload an image
Well, I have got somewhere on this as evidenced by my recent post.
The problem lies with the browser I was using (Internet Explorer 11). Tried it all using Chrome and it works! I found info on various sites related to phpBB (the open source software used by this forum) and many people have had similar problems. My IE installation has somehow had a setting changed (to do with 'incorrect mimetype') which results in the file to be uploaded as an invalid file type. If I find the resolution I'll place it here.
