Erase shadow

Can some one tell me how to remove a shadow of the person from a photo using the erase tool HELP

The Erase tool is one option, but you can also choose for Area Treatment, where you need to select the shadow part and brighten the shadow.. there are also a couple of effects that brighten shadows, using such effect with a mask could also help 
In the end it depends on the photo which will work best for you..

Still trying how to erase objects. I watched video but can't find it.
